Today I'm going to be doing a review of a couple of cuties I picked up on the online store, Tokyo Otaku Mode. The cuties I am referring to are two 'standard' (16 x 9 x 12 cm) sized alpacasso plushies. I've wanted to start a collection of alpacasso for a long time now, so when I happened to stumble across a very good sale on Tokyo Otaku Mode, I just couldn't resist.
I'm so happy with just the overall experience of shopping on Tokyo Otaku Mode that I felt like I had to spread the word, as I'm familiar with the uncertainty of buying from unfamiliar stores, and thought a review might just be what a few people are looking for to give them that final push to the checkout.

♡ The Website ♡
Okay so before I even discovered the actual website, I was familiar with the name 'Tokyo Otaku Mode', as a lot of their facebook posts come up on my newsfeed because the majority of my friends on there have liked the page. However, I actually had no idea it was a store, I thought it was just another one of those weeaboo pages. So when I was just casually browsing on the internet (may or may not have been a fanfiction site) and an ad with a bunch of alpacasso came up with the name 'Tokyo Otaku Mode' printed over it, I felt like I had to check it out. I don't normally click on the ads I see when surfing the internet, because I know a lot of them are bogus and just a gateway for all kinds of viruses, but the familiar name reassured me. So there I was, on this surprisingly clean and professional looking website, no viruses at all. So for those who are anxious about which shops to even browse online, Tokyo Otaku Mode is a safe way to go~
♡ The Product ♡
So moving onto the product selection. From what I observed, they have a great range of alpacasso - as well as other anime/kawaii related products. As mentioned earlier, the two products I had my eyes on were a couple of standard sized alpacassoo plushies in the colours 'peach' and 'lemon'. These two plushies were actually part of a set of five, but as money is tight at the moment and I was only really interested in the peach and lemon ones, I disregarded the blue, white and rainbow alpacas.

♡ The Pricing ♡
I was honestly amazed at the pricing for these plushies. They were only around $10 (AUD) each - that's a lot cheaper than any of the places I have seen them before, so I was happy to spend a total of $20 just for the two of them. However, the very good price did make me weary of the quality and authenticity of them.
♡ The Shipping ♡
The shipping was probably the best part of this entire experience. As I live in Perth, Australia, the second most isolated city in the world, I am all too familiar with the totally unfair price and time of overseas shipping. However, this is probably the best shipping experience I have ever had, with any online seller. First of all, the shipping was only $12, which for an Australian buyer, is an absolute steal. Secondly, and the best part, the shipping time was way way way less than I expected. A day after placing the order, I had received confirmation of payment and notification that my order had been shipped and literally a week later, the package was at my doorstep. This is the fastest I have ever received a package, including shipping from within Australia. It wasn't express shipping either, just standard. As an Australian buyer, it's become my habit to, after placing an order online, to simply forget about it because I know it's not coming any time soon. But this was just such a pleasant surprise to me, to have it shipped to me that quickly. Such great service.
♡ The Quality ♡
As with the shipping, I'm just stunned at the quality. They look exactly like the stock photos. Colour, size, fluffiness, expression, it's all there, exactly as advertised. My only complaints are minor, and that's that one of the ears on the lemon alpaca is a bit bent back and doesn't look symmetrical and the 'alpacasso' tag on its behind is a bit torn up. There is a small loose thread on the peach alpacas foot and a visible seam on its mouth that is not visible on the lemon alpaca. Despite these faults, I'm still ridiculously happy with the quality of these products, and it's only upon super close inspection that I even managed to find these faults in the first place.

I am so unbelievably happy with everything about this experience and based on this, would highly recommend Tokyo Otaku Mode to anybody looking for authentic, quality Japanese goods. I was so skeptical of this website just because of where I found the advertisement and the fact that I had no information on their reputation but I'm so glad to discover such a brilliant online store and will most definitely be buying from there again.
