Kitten in a Pudding Cup
4/4
2016 is finally coming to a close, and what a year it's been. Long time readers will know it's been a crazy year for me, but I'm happy to report that things look like they've finally come together at the last second. Although I'm so so so happy to be out of the hole I was in and can finally start moving on from the negatives, I know this was an important year to have had to live through.
Review || What's in my Bathroom?
'Kitty, why do you take so god damn long in the bathroom?'
I've learned a lot this year, some things more important than others. I learned how to change a tyre, I also learned that those clear, squishy jellyfish you see in the shallows actually eat stuff. But one of the most relevant and life changing things I have come to learn is that the more time I spend in the bathroom, the more happy and relaxed I am when I come out. Sometimes life goes by so fast that we forget to stop and make sure to take care of ourselves. So I know it's a bit of a weird post, but today I'm going to share with you puddings some of my bathroom essentials that I wish I started using sooner.

It's hard to believe we're so close to the end of the year already - it feels like I haven't had a chance to stop and look around before July, August and September got snatched away. These past three months were so jam packed, I feel like I've accomplished more in these past three months than I have in the rest of the year. You puddings will (hopefully) be glad to know that things have gotten a lot better since my last update. I'm not quite where I want to be yet, but I can see everything slowly coming together. I'm not out of the tunnel yet, but I finally see the light!
The Piercing Diaries
I mentioned a while ago now that I have been working on something and I'm so happy that I actually get to make and publish this post! A while ago now I signed up to take a course that has set me up and trained me in the art of specialist body piercing! I've always had a passion for body modifications, and I've always wanted to be a part of it. I pondered on the idea of becoming a tattoo artist, because I love how personal the service is and the idea of giving someone something they can be proud of for life - but unfortunately, I'm not a talented drawer. I looked into what's involved in the body piercing industry and fell in love. I took a while to make sure this fascination wasn't just a phase, and is something I can really commit to - almost a year later, it's still what I want to do, so I took the plunge and decided to just go for it!
I thought it would be fun to keep a little diary of what happened each day of my practical - keep in mind that I had been doing a month of theory work prior to this, and actually did another month of theory after my practical, so it wasn't just a quick 5 day wam bam, thanks fam. So yeah, without further ado, check out what I got up to behind the piercing room doors!
Diary || Dan and Phil
I was in the same room as Dan and Phil and it was amazing.
Like, they weren't behind a computer screen. It was so surreal.
I've been watching Dan and Phil for over 4 years now. I remember a girl showing me them playing 'Would You Rather' in high school and for some reason, I laughed way too hard. From there, I started watching Danisnotonfire, and eventually started watching AmazingPhil. Fast forward a few years later and they are my babies. I'm not one of those girls who claims that they 'saved my life' or anything, but I must admit, I do idolize Dan a little bit. I guess it's just because I feel like we have the same personality. I know I'll never really know him, I'll only know the persona he shows on screen, but that persona is one I identify with so hard - and seeing someone like me being as successful as he is gives me a lot of hope and confidence that maybe things will work out for me too.
Diary || Ghost of Record Store
Walking around the city I saw a peculiar store run down and draped in white. I felt really drawn in by the weird sense of nostalgia this place seemed to radiate. I stepped into a dimly lit room with old records and cassettes lying around in an organised chaos. There was a man in the far corner that I almost didn't notice who explained to me that this was his art. He wanted to show how old mediums are slowly fading away and dying. It was crazy how much this place felt like home.

It's time for another quarter year update and I can't believe 2016 is half way complete. The time is just flying by, but I guess that's just because I've been super busy with my studies. Life has been really hard these past 3 months, but I'm keeping my head above water. Staying true to the last update, I've been focusing hard on self care. It hasn't been easy, but I feel good about it. This is a hard phase in my life, but I think if I play it out right, it will be one of the most important.
